The Cowichan Green Community Foundation

Cowichan Green Community Foundation is a charitable initiative that is being formed to cultivate community health and environmental stewardship through the advancement of education for children, youth, and adults in the Cowichan Region by providing life skills education centres and operating demonstration gardens.

The life skills education centre and demonstration gardens will offer workshops that will teach people to grow and prepare their own food and nutritious meals, while developing self confidence and enhancing social skills. The activites will take place at KinPark Youth Urban Farm, Alderlea Street, Duncan, BC and at The Station, 360 Duncan Street, Duncan, BC.

History

The Foundation was officially incorporated on March 26, 2014, under the Society Act of British Columbia.
